1st Annual Awards Banquet Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, FL.

Many thanks to all who attended last night’s event. Many thanks to Evelyn Judge and the F&B team for their creativeness and execution. And extra thanks to Jean Nielsen, Krsity Nguyen and Lisa Chimel for welcoming our team members to the celebration. Last night could not have been successful without you.

The night was filled with the excitement of Carnival Dancers, Photo Booth, Dancing and of course 2009 Service Awards.

Our Team Leader of the Year is John Amoroso, Dir of Property Operations who continues to make a positive impact not only in his area but in operational and non-operational departments alike. Additionally, he was a Spirit Award nominee this past year which is the highest recognition within our company.

Our Most Valuable Player of the Year is Molly Ericksen, Concierge who has recently transitioned to her Concierge role from Journey Ambassador. She has and continues to be recognized by team members and guests alike for consistently and genuinely spreading her light and warmth throughout our property most notably, by one of frequent guests who has crowned her the “Maitre’D of Welcomeness”.

Our Best Groomed Team Member is Marie Charles, Housekeeping. Marie was the first room attendant hired to assist with the opening of our hotel. She is recognized for consistently taking pride in her personal appearance. No matter how challenging or busy her day is she ensures her apron, shoes and all remains in tact.

Congratulations to all our nominees and Award winners you are all Champions. 2009 was good year for us. Now let us shoot for an even better 2010.
