A Fun Room Inspection Contest Focused on the Details!

We took two of the same room type (clean rooms) and “messed up” the same 15 things in each room. The things that were “messed up” did not require any cleaning products, vacuum, or additional linen to fix. We split the housekeeping department into two teams and gave each team two minutes to correct the 15 mistakes in the room. This was to help them focus on the details such as making sure the tub drain is left up and that the clock radios are plugged in, etc. At the end we inspected the rooms, scored each team and went over all of the items as a group. The winning team received Hampton Inn & Suites lunch bags.
