A SALT Trophy Raises Friendliness Scores to a New Level!

When I was the Front Office Manager I put together a compettion within the hotel. I bought this very large trophy and had it engraved to say “General Manager’s Cup for S.A.L.T Excellence.” Each month, the department with the highest “Friendliness” Scores on SALT got the trophy (this appears to be the one section that each department is recognized for on SALT). We also threw in a pizza party to go with the trophy for the department that won. It was great because it turned into a mission, and rivalries began and everyone wanted the trophy. We saw a rise in the “Friendliness” scores, which seemed to be the catalyst for everything else because our “Overall Combined” went up as well. After this started, our friendliness scores would finish out in the high-70’s to mid-80’s, which was an all-time high for that property when you looked at the history of SALT over the years.
