A Tweet Turns into Help for the Homeless at Hilton Houston-Americas, TX.

On December 5, we received a Tweet from one of our followers asking for a 50-bag donation to We See You, a project that helps the homeless in Houston. This is what I did for them on behalf of Hilton Americas.

I know we donate our partially used guest amenities such as shampoos, lotions, soaps, and toilet paper to local shelters. The hotel had been at maximum occupancy, meaning that we had more used amenities last week than other weeks. I went down to Housekeeping to talk to Jose about this group, and set up for project We See You to receive a portion of our used guest amenities last Friday, December 7th. In only two days, we stepped up and proved that Hilton does stand for Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, Now. Instead of 50 bags, the hotel donated enough goods to fill 150!
