“Around the World in a Notice Board” at Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa, UAE.

If someone asks you, “What do the words ‘eye-catching,’ ‘notice board,’ ‘welcome board, nationalities and sustainable have in common?”, what would you say?

The Nationalities Board of Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa! By using our creative brains, a dazzling and sustainable 3D Nationalities Board has been created. Would you say that a bulletin board, reused Styrofoam, leftover paint, scrap paper and tooth picks would be a good combination to create a Nationalities Board? I would say, definitely! Blood, sweat and tears 😀 were involved in the process of creating the Nationalities Board; collecting Styrofoam, drawing the outlines, sawing, more sawing and painting. The result is stunning! In order to define all the 40 different nationalities at our Resort, we made tiny flags with toothpicks and scrap paper. To make it more than just a notice board, we have covered the wall surrounding the board with a Nationalities List, National and Independence days from all over the world and fun ‘DID YOU KNOW?’ facts. DID YOU KNOW that Ethiopia is about 7.5 years behind the UK? This is because Ethiopia is the only country in the world to have 13 months in a year!!!!!! The first 12 months each have 30 days and the 13th month (Pagumen) has 5 days in a standard year. During a leap year, the 13th month has 6 days.
