August Catch Me is Off to a Great Start!

The final month of our seasonal recognition program, Catch Me at My Best®, is off to a spectacular start. We’re at more than 510,000 catches! Check out our favorites from the past week.

Yazmin Martinez, Embassy Suites San Juan – Hotel & Casino, Puerto Rico: “When she saw that we were running out of plates during a holiday morning breakfast, she voluntarily exchanged her podium as a Hostess and when to provide assistance to the dishwashing area. Thanks to her big gesture we were able to keep providing our breakfast service without interruption.”

Carole DiCenzo, Hampton Inn Port Charlotte, FL: “A friend and I were here from St. Louis to buy a home in Punta Gorda. After a failed and discouraged day of home shopping, Carole saved the day. She showed us some nice homes in the area on the hotel computer, we bought one of the houses she showed us and the rest is history. Call it fate? I call it being a concerned employee. Thanks!!”

Maurice Clark, Hilton Garden Inn St. Louis Shiloh/O’Fallon, IL: “In an effort to give one of our regular guests and his wife some quiet time and enjoy a “big people” dinner, Maurice offered to take their son roller-skating with his kids for the evening. The guest was so excited and the son thought it was the greatest thing!”

Ron Thomas, Hilton Birmingham Perimeter Park, AL: “The phone unexpectedly went out overnight. The next morning, they still were not working. Ron willingly and cheerfully went and delivered personal wake up calls to every guest that had requested it. Talk about going the extra mile! Awesome job for such a brave soul!”

Erika Lozano, theWit Chicago – A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, IL: “She requested the day off because it was her birthday. I told her that we really needed her help, and she agreed to come in to work and help us cover more rooms. Thank you so much!”

Willian Guibani, Qasr Al Sharq, a Waldorf Astoria hotel, Saudi Arabia: “William overheard me taking restaurant reservation. The guest was celebrating their wedding anniversary. Without being asked, William (being the florist) went out of his way, took out the initiative and organized a beautifully arranged bouquet to surprise the couple. When the couple arrived and soon after they were seated, they were greeted with the bouquet. The experience created a delightful memory for the couple that surely made their day!”

John Gonzales, Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ: “My sister and I were staying at the Homewood Suites while visiting the Mayo Clinic for surgery. My sister wanted a banana after the procedure and I asked John where a grocery store was since the Hotel was out of bananas. To my surprise, John sent someone to the store to get a banana just for me! This may sound small, but this was a huge deal for me that John went above and beyond to make my stay better and easier. Much gratification and appreciation to John – remember the bananas!”
