Embassy Suites Austin – Central, TX
Housekeeping Week this year was a great success! It benefited the Housekeeping team and the rest of the staff. Managers got to experience first hand what our housekeeping department experiences every day. That led to a bigger appreciation of the department.
Our Housekeeping team saw how much we really care about them and saw that we take great interest in what they do. It was important for us to celebrate the entire week for us to boost morale especially in these tough economic times when as a hotel we’ve cut back on several employee relations activities.
There were plenty of smiles and laughs this week!
Monday – Donuts courtesy of the Assistant Housekeeper in the morning. Lunch from Subway was provided by Accounting. Managers worked one-on-one with a Housekeeper from 10:00-11:30.
Tuesday – Sweets provided by HR for breakfast. Lunch from PeiWei was provided by Front Office. We played the Soap Tower Game.
Wednesday – For lunch, we took the team out to Texas Land & Cattle. HR provided cookies for dessert.
Thursday – The Revenue Manager provided donuts and coffee in the morning. For lunch, the Housekeeping Managers brought in enchiladas. Dessert included cupcakes and a pillow stuffing race!
Friday – Pizza party and scrapbooks, courtesy of the Sales team. We had an ice cream social with gifts (totes), courtesy of F&B & HR.
Saturday – The Housekeeping Manager provided donuts for breakfast. And Engineering made Frito Pies for lunch.
Sunday – Breakfast Tacos were provided by HR. Later, we had a cake, also provided of HR.
