Celebrating October at Hampton Inn Elmira/Horseheads.

I’ve attached a few different photos.

The two pictures of the pumpkin are of a pumpkin that I had carved for the hotel. I opted to carve the fake pumpkin so that we always have this for decoration year after year. I think it’s a great conversation piece; the employees and guests are still talking. One employee said he thought Hampton had sent us the pumpkin! (I guess I’ll take that as a compliment!) We have it out in the front lobby with a flickering LED battery operated light in it!

The other photos are of a our yogurt lid collection container. Being that October is Breast Cancer awareness month, we thought it would be a great time to start collecting. We got the idea from our sister property, Hampton Inn Oneonta (ONHNJ) where they’ve been collecting for some time now. We searched around for something that would work without looking too tacky. We were able to make use of the Catch Me at My Best acrylic container. I had a GSA help design the artwork and voila! Together we are making a difference!

I hope these ideas inspire others!
