Celebrating the Holidays with Our Family and Friends.

Greetings from Doubletree Metropolitan Hotel New York!

For the holidays this year, we invited the children of our associates and threw a party for them. We created a committee for this event consisting of associates and managers in various departments. Children up to 13-years old were invited. Invitations were attached to associate paychecks a month in advance. Once we had a count of the number of kids, we categorized them in about 5-6 age groups.

We used shoppers at Toys”R”Us to assist in shopping gifts. We hosted a gift wrapping party and invited volunteers to help wrap the gifts (about 140 presents)! At the party, we had a children’s entertainer who did magic, taught origami, balancing etc., and a face painter who painted the children faces. We had a buffet with kiddie food like mini-burgers, fruit yogurt and a ‘Happy Holidays’ cake. The music was festive. We had a stage where Santa Claus arrived and handed presents to ALL The kids. We took pictures and posted them on our Cafeteria notice boards!

This event was VERY well received by our associates. They truly felt CARED for. It was a great way to make a bond with them and show them we appreciate everything they do for us!

Enjoy our photos from this event!
