Creating “House Groups” to Foster Stronger Teamwork and Service.

In order to provide a structure to our Teamwork initiatives and create a sense of ownership, we created House Groups in the Hilton Garden Inn New Delhi/Saket. Many of us felt nostalgic…back to school days…fostering a sense of belonging!

We wanted to create a culture that nurtures and strengthens our team members as they are transformed into better and more compassionate people.

We invited the house teams to engage in a service that sets high expectations and uncompromising standards. In the process, we give them a chance to test themselves against the best they think they can be by competing against each other, to develop a loving relationship among themselves and to build a HGI community. We seek to be a welcoming HGI community which is open to others and embraces diversity.

The entire unit has been divided into 4 houses. Each team member has been assigned to a house. Elections were conducted to elect a house Captain/Vice Captain. Each house has a mixed team from different trades. Inter house sports, extracurricular, CSR, competitions/activities and Unit care initiatives are now being scheduled through these Houses. Each house currently consists of 36-37 team members each. As and when a new team member joins he is assigned a House and gets introduced to the House Mentor/Captain.

Not to miss the names of the Houses based on flowers since we are a Hilton ‘Garden’ Inn!
