Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort added another prestigious recognition to its list of achievements by winning a Corporate Social Responsibility Label from Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry – https://www.dubaichamber.com/
The award was received by Emily McGuire, Cluster Corporate Communications Manager and CR Champion, at a ceremony held at the Dubai Chamber on Wednesday, September 26th.
Dubai CSR label was awarded in recognition of the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and for its efforts in seeking and fostering responsible practices in their business and by promoting CSR amongst Dubai’s business community.
H.E. Hisham Abdullah Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice Chairman, Dubai Chamber, congratulated the awardees stating that the CSR Label gives companies a clear framework to help them implement CSR and sustainability initiatives, promote them amongst clients and staff, and then have their efforts recognised publicly.
Receiving the award, Emily McGuire said that, “For us the label structure compliments our strategy for Corporate Responsibility outlined by Hilton Worldwide: Travel With Purpose and shows that we are implementing that strategy successfully. Furthermore, receiving the label puts us in a forum to benchmark with other progressive companies in Dubai who also have CSR at the core of their businesses.”
Over the past year, the CSR initiatives at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort have resulted in over 1700 volunteer hours, 150,000 AED raised and more than 600,000 AED in probono donations. “This is a great achievement for us and a milestone along our CSR journey, the difference that CR has made at our hotels is immense and the stories about what our team members do, even on their personal time is inspiring. It truly has been a cultural shift.”
Awardees include Emirates Transport, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Standard Chartered Bank, Dubal, Ducab, Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Summertown and DLA Piper.
Dubai Chamber’s Centre for Responsible Business launched the CSR Label in 2010.
