I wanted to send an update for our end of summer ‘Catch Me at My Best’ program! The Hampton Shoreview and the Hilton Garden Inn Shoreview had a campus party yesterday to celebrate the winners at both properties. The managers put on a Steak ’n Bake for the staff to honor them for all for all of their hard work. We purchased the food and cooked it outside on the grill. The menu was tenderloins, baked potato station, Caesar salad, baguette bread, beverages and a beautiful ‘Catch Me Cake’. It was uplifting to have all of the staff from both hotels together.
Winners of the awards were…
Hilton Garden Inn Shoreview
Best catch by a guest – Alisa Schwartz, Front Desk Associate
A guest wrote in that they were in a dire emergency to get their tux before closing time and Alisa took it upon herself to take her own car and go to the shop to pick up the groom’s tux. Not only was he thrilled, he was on time for his wedding!
Best catch by team member – Rick Lindgren, our Assistant Engineer
Rick saw a little girl crying in the lobby and discovered that she had been to a neighboring restaurant and had lost her balloon; it drifted up in the sky. He went on his own time to the restaurant, got her more balloons and delivered it to the guests room. WOW!
Most catches- Evelyn Nutt
Evelyn had over 70 catches from guests and staff! Evelyn works both in the restaurant and at the front desk and has guest service skills turnedl on every second and goes above and beyond every second she is on property. We love ya Evie!
We are very proud of our staff and thank Hilton for promoting such a positive program!
