Once a month, the Cluster General Manager, Christian Muhr, hosts a one-hour meeting for Team Members to share our performance during the past month and share Blue Energy news covering the areas of Guest Relations, Team Relations, Community, Sustainability, and the outstanding achievements of our Team Members. The highlight of the Get Together is when the GM individually recognises Team Members who have lived the Hilton Values and displayed their Blue Energy passion during the month. This is achieved by handing certificates to Team Members for a range of reasons including: Best kept rooms, participation in Corporate Responsibility activities, best story of the month from each department, exceptional scores in mystery shopper calls, winners of competitions, exceptional delivery of quality service, success stories, etc. The best Team Members of the Month for Front of House and Back of House, as voted by HODs, are awarded a cash prize and certificates. Furthermore, on a regular basis, the resort receives awards and recognition from prestigious external bodies. Recent examples include the “What’s On Award” for Best Italian restaurant in Dubai and a Trophy from the Government of Dubai for participating in the “Clean Up the World” Campaign, for which we held an unprecedented Beach Clean Operation around the resort. The GM will also highlight these achievements and together, all Team Members attending will celebrate our success and pride of being part of Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort and the Hilton family. The GM Get Together is not only used as an opportunity to celebrate past successes—another key objective is to inspire all Team Members to keep excelling on a daily basis and going the extra mile for our guests, fellow Team Members, and community, while being involved with sustainability initiatives so in future GM Get Togethers, we have more opportunities and reasons for recognition and celebration. With the recent opening and flying start of the brand new Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Residences, there will be more opportunities for Team Members to be in the spotlight and be recognised.
