Top GMs from across Hilton discuss how they use recognition to motivate their team, improve performance, and address business objectives. Watch video.

Greetings From India…

Nishan Silva,
Hilton New Delhi Janakpuri, India

We are a pre-opening hotel team, and planning to open our doors later this year. Although it’s not a operating hotel, the Housekeeping team had to come up with a innovative plan of activities created to improve skill building, increase knowledge, and get non-housekeeping team members involved in the process and to have lots of fun…

One of the features of the programme was the ‘catwalk’ by the housekeeping team, where the team had to display all brand new housekeeping equipments / machines on the ramp (please find attached photos) with the new uniforms, where we selected the ‘best housekeeping model’.

Further all the promotional / awareness materials for the programme was made with 100% recyclable materials keeping in mind Hilton International commitment for environmental initiatives.

Please find the attached agenda and presentation, we truly hope that we have celebrated the housekeeping week in true Hilton spirit for the first time in India.

We would like to also take this opportunity to thank you on initiating this programme for year 2009.

View our Housekeeping Week agenda and presentation.

Rangoli is an Indian traditional folk art, which is generally created on the floor on some festive occasions and celebrations. A competition among all department teams to kick off the housekeeping week.
