T’was the night before Christmas, and all through Hampton Inn,
Not a creature was stirring through the hallways within.
The stockings were hung by the front desk with care,
In hopes that Saint Nicholas, soon would be there.
The guests were sleeping, all snug in their beds,
While visions of our On the House Breakfast danced in their heads.
With cookies in the oven, and some on my desk,
“This night should be quiet,” so I would have guessed.
Just then, from above the lobby it sounded,
There was a loud noise, something had grounded.
I ran to the parking lot, to see what it’d be,
“That looks like Santa Clause! Oh what joy! What glee!”
He had a red sleigh, and eight furry critters,
I saw silver bells, and tinsel that glitters!
I ran from the lot, and back to my station,
To wait for Saint Nick, with great admiration.
He came from the fireplace, all covered with dirt,
I was relieved, he didn’t seem hurt.
“Welcome to Hampton Inn!” I said with a smile,
“Drink some coco, eat cookies, and relax for a while!”
He was so jolly, and happy, and kind,
Although you could tell, he had much on his mind.
“That sounds very nice; it’s a beautiful lobby,
But I’ve many gifts to give, it’s kind of my hobby.”
Right then and there, he began operation,
Leaving gifts under a tree, dressed in decorations.
I bid him goodbye, gave him Breakfast On the Run,
I hated seeing him leave, but there was much to be done.
He climbed into his sleigh, and signaled the reindeer,
“Merry Christmas!” I shouted, and
“We Love Having You Here!”
