We were awarded a TWP Action Grant last year. We partnered with Winter Springs High School culinary and hospitality schools. We developed Project GreenFork, where the school’s culinary, hospitality, and agriculture students build a sustainability garden. The proceeds from the garden were used to put on a “Harvest Dinner” charity gala benefiting Give Kids the World. With the support of our team, the students planned, prepared, and served the entire event. Bolstered by the ticket sales, and also headed by the students, we were able to present a check for $4,000 to Give Kids the World charity. Each year, the proceeds from the garden will support a harvest dinner benefiting a charity of choice. Students have gained first hand experience in planning an event, servicing a function and serving the community.
