The 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 12. From then until July 13, all eyes will be on Brazil as countries compete for the championship title. How is your hotel showing their spirit? What are you doing to make the game special for guests and teammates? Let us know!
Hilton London Kensington, UK, is using the World Cup to create an awesome Catch Me theme. Check it out:
We have an incredibly diverse workforce here, and so that we can celebrate everyone’s culture and create a fun environment for Team Members during tbe World Cup, we have created We Are Kensington – Go For Goal!
The Go For Goal initiative is really simple. All each Team Member has to do is sign up to a “Catch Me” team on the World Cup list in the Team Member restaurant. The team can be their own country, or it can be any country that the Team Member is happy to support. Everyone needs to be quick though, as there is a maximum of 11 players per team allowed!
In the period of the World Cup, 12th June – 13th July, every time the Team Member receives a Catch Me card or e-Catch, a goal will be awarded to their team. There will also be bonus goals awarded for positive mentions on SALT or social media. And just to keep things exciting, we will also award goals to each team every time the actual country wins a match in the competition – so if the Team Member has signed up as England, whenever the English team wins in Brazil, a bonus goal is awarded to their Catch Me team.
The overall winners will be the team with the most number of catches by the time the final whistle is blown in the World Cup final on 13th July. The winning team will be crowned Catch Me World Cup champions and will receive a top-secret first prize. The second- and third-placed Catch Me teams will also receive prizes, as will the team who represent the winners of the actual World Cup.
Bringing together our Kensington Bluedozing spirit for a bit of sporting rivalry means that the World Cup will be an exciting time here in London. We are pretty sure that the We Are Kensington Catch Me World Cup will be an even bigger success than what is happening in Brazil…
