Here’s proof that recognition and compassion know no boundaries. In March, the team at Hilton Orlando, FL, decided to help the team at Hilton Branson Convention Center, MO, whose hotel was ravaged by the Feb. 29 tornado.
“We understood that the physical structure of the Hilton of Branson would be re-built,” said Yoshika Sanders, Human Resources Manager at Hilton Orlando. “We shifted our focus to rebuilding the TEAM that kept it running!”
Hilton Orlando raised $500 selling breakfast mugs. They sent the money to Hilton Branson Convention Center, who plans to use it in the fall for a Welcome Back brunch.
When she received the gift, Hilton Branson Coonvention Center Hotel Director of Human Resources, Karen Karahalios, sent this note:
I just got back from vacation last Thursday and received your package. We can’t thank you and your team members enough for your very kind and generous donation! We are looking forward to using the money in the fall when both hotels are hopefully up and running and we have everyone back from layoff. Please extend our gratitude to your entire team!
