Hosting a Car Wash for the Housekeeping Team.

Robert Kolpien,
Hampton Inn Indianapolis-NE Castleton, IN

We celebrated Housekeeping Appreciation Week by hosting a Car Wash for the Housekeeping team. The management team, comprised of General Manager – Rob Kolpien, Executive Housekeeper – Juan Alcocer, and Chief Engineer – Tim Abney, washed cars for the housekeeping team, while they stood by and enjoyed the show. The housekeepers sat on benches and enjoyed a refreshing cold beverage while their cars were scrubbed clean. The tables were turned, when it was their turn to inspect the work done by the management team, and they were on the ready to point out each and every spot that was missed by the managers. All in all, it was a good time, on a hot day – and something simple to show the team that their efforts are appreciated every day! (They did take note that we did wash all the cars with one single bucket of soap and water, and wondered if that met the cleanliness standards established by the company.)
