This year for International Housekeeping Week, we are excited to be including a guest-facing aspect to this fun recognition week, which will help raise awareness of our Housekeeping Heroes. Starting on Sunday, September 1st our Front Office Team will be handing out five (5) Housekeeping Dollars to our guests and asking them to hand them out to any Housekeeper and Laundry Porter they see/feel is giving great service. During our International Housekeeping Week Party, any Team Members who have received Housekeeping Dollars can redeem them for tickets to play games during the party, and the three Team Members with the most Housekeeping Dollars will win a prize! Here is an outline as to how the Housekeeping Dollars will work and what each departments role is:
- The Front Office will have these cards below at each of the desk stations. As guests check-in they are to explain what the dollars are and why they are receiving them.
- The Housekeeping Department will inform the Housekeeping Team about this fun promotion with the guests, and let them know how to use their dollars at the Housekeeping Party.
- Human Resources will be printing, cutting and distributing the Housekeeping Dollars to the Front Office. They will also be conducting random audits with the Front Office, to make sure that they are handing the Housekeeping Dollars out with each check-in. During the Housekeeping Party, Human Resources will be helping with the redemption of the Housekeeping Dollars.
We are really excited to role out this fun initiative with the guests and Team Members. So please help us recognize our Housekeeping Heroes!
