Housekeeping Week Boat Ride at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile, IL.

Our Housekeeping Week was filled with fun and money.

We divided the Housekeeping staff into two groups. On the first day, half of the department went to the boat ride skyline tour on Lake Michigan, and the second group stayed behind to clean the rooms. Next day we switch the groups. After our fun on the boat, we went to the beach and had lunch. Our chef, Scott Walton, pack boxed lunches for all of the Housekeeping department. Not only did we have our boat ride, we had a picnic to at same time, and the weather was just amazing. All employees were happy to escape their normal housekeeping routine for a couple hours.

On the last day of Housekeeping week, we played games and ate pizza. Everyone had a lot of fun!

We wrote all the employee names and dropped them in a bowl. Each employee had a chance to draw a name out of the bowl. The name of the employee that was pulled out of the bowl would then go to the another bowl and draw the wining prize out of that bowl. We had some movie tickets, gift cards, and cash in the bowl as our prizes. The rule was that the employee could not look inside the bowl and was only able to rely on their instincts to pull the best prize. If an employee was scheduled off someone else would pull the prize for them. We had lots of fun and lots of cash to give away.

Check out these great photos!
