  • Canopy by Hilton Reykjavik City Centre.
    This location celebrated their Tidiness Enthusiasts with a giant brownie, a towel origami contest, and a whole lot of fun.

Conrad

  • Conrad Algarve.
    Team Members relaxed with chair massages and a party at the hotel pool. They also got the opportunity to throw a pie at their supervisor for charity.

     

  • Conrad Koh Samui.
    This property could not celebrate their Housekeeping heroes on the exact week due to occupancy. No problem! The entire month of September is deemed International Housekeeping Month, and they celebrated a week later with barbecue and fun activities!

Curio Collection by Hilton

  • Diplomat Resort & Spa Hollywood, Curio Collection by Hilton.
    The hotel celebrated with breakfast and a raffle, and gave out “We love Housekeeping” tote bags. Human Resources Coordinator Tiffani Hill dressed in a bear costume and gave free bear hugs to the team. In addition, the Front Office team chipped in and gave lottery tickets to the team.

DoubleTree by Hilton

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing Wanzhou.
    They celebrated their rich and colorful daily life with a wall of photos featuring their Housekeepers! The week started with a kick-off dinners, and managers joined the Housekeepers during their shift on the second day. The hotel also hosted a food festival and fun games.

     

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Residences Dubai Al Barsha.
    This property pulled out all of the stops for their team, with plenty of food, gifts, and games like blindfolded towel folding and a limbo competition. Their Executive Chef crafted a beautiful cake in the shape of a bed, complete with pillows and a robe adorning the top of the bed and slippers at the side.

     

  • smopc_dth_suites-santa-monica2DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Santa Monica.
    This location celebrated everyday with food, snacks, gifts and on Friday a celebration luncheon with a Taco Truck. Housekeepers had fun playing “Minute to Win It” and received gifts from other departments, such as a chocolate bar from Sales, sparkling cider from the Front Desk, and an afternoon break of popcorn and sodas from the Managers.

     

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cariari San Jose – Costa Rica.
    With a simple painted back drop and a few well-placed props, the team brought the beach to the hotel! The Housekeepers enjoyed a picnic in the gardens, racing plastic ducks in the pool, and arts and crafts. The week ended with a wonderful breakfast for the team.

     

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Torrance – South Bay.
    The team made sure no Housekeeper was left out by having celebrations for both shifts to let all of their Housekeepers know how much they appreciate them.

     

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne Flinders Street.
    Housekeepers at this hotel warmed up to the classic oldie “YMCA.” The week ended with the team enjoying lunch with the GM and taking selfies.

     

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Naha.
    This property created snack bags and a party hat for their Housekeeping team. Volunteer Team Members and managers joined together to clean up Housekeepers’ cars, motorcycles, and bicycles to express their appreciation. Managers and Team Members from other departments joined the Housekeepers on their shifts, and a special Thank You Corner displayed messages of appreciation.

     

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Downtown.
    Throughout the week, they had a food fest for their Housekeeping team. There were several activities, including Mini Golf, Twister, Limbo, a Blind Folded Bed Making contest, and a quiz, to name a few. Winners received medals and gifts, and everyone was given a goodie bag.
  • DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC – Crystal City.
    They converted one of their suites into a spa where Team Members were treated to food, sparkling apple cider, and manicures. Human Resources staff and managers served as “spa attendants.”

     

Embassy Suites by Hilton

  • Embassy Suites by Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor.
    This hotel held a Hollywood-themed celebration, rolling out an actual red carpet for the team. T-shirts were presented that said, “Of course I am awesome. I’m in Housekeeping.” At the end of the week, General Manager Andrew Labetti gave each Team Member a pineapple as a sign of hospitality.

     

  • Embassy Suites by Hilton Houston Energy Corridor.
    They brought in a Kona Ice truck to cool off their team in the 100-degree heat (38 degrees Celsius).

     

  • Embassy Suites by Hilton Omaha La Vista Hotel & Conference Center.
    Their theme was “You Make A World of Difference.” Housekeepers paraded around the hotel showing their diversity with flags from their countries. Everyone had a great time.

     

  • Embassy Suites by Hilton San Juan Hotel & Casino.
    This hotel provided T-shirts to their Housekeepers to thank them for making every guest feel at home. The team also enjoyed posing for fun photos with silly props.

Hampton by Hilton

  • Hampton by Hilton Bristol City Centre.
    They celebrated their Housekeepers with a special meal and loads of competitions. But it’s not International Housekeeping Week without towel animals! The deputy manager spoiled the team with loads of sweets and cold beverages as they worked on their creations.

     

  • Hampton by Hilton Moscow Strogino.
    Housekeepers at this location started the week with a group photo and later celebrated with a wonderful cake.

     

  • Hampton Inn & Suites Clermont.
    The hotel held a hurricane party for their Housekeeping team, with a custom cake and lots of umbrellas. They recognized a milestone Service Anniversary, celebrated a birthday, and announced their Catch Me winner. The hotel also shared a special breakfast with Fire Fighters to honor those who serve.

     

  • Hampton Inn & Suites Greenville-Downtown-RiverPlace.
    This property held a fastest room cleaning challenge and presented the team with custom T-shirts. They also rolled out an ice cream sundae bar for the team, celebrated smoothie day, and wrapped up the week with a good old-fashioned Southern lunch.

     

  • Hampton Inn & Suites Parkersburg Downtown.
    Team Members made a candy bar cake for their Housekeepers who go above and beyond to make sure each guest is having a wonderful stay. To return the favor, hidden inside one of the bars was a free night’s stay!

     

  • Hampton Inn by Hilton Lloydminster.
    This property has a very small team with the biggest heart. They took a team picture that showed the Housekeepers’ personalities. All they needed was a few props, signs, and of course the personalities!

     

  • Hampton Inn by Hilton San Juan del Rio.
    They kicked off Housekeeping Week with a ribbon cutting which was followed by a wonderful breakfast! Roses were handed out to Housekeepers and balloons decorated the Team Member areas.

     

  • Hampton Inn Dumfries.
    They held a circus theme with strong man cutouts, caramel apples, and games like Elephant Walk, where Team Members navigated an obstacle course with a pantyhose trunk on their head weighted down by a tennis ball.

     

  • Hampton Inn Nashua.
    This location celebrated with chair massages, ice cream, barbecue, and dancing! They also held a whiffle ball game, where the Scrubbers bested the Sweepers 4-3 with a walk off home run.

     

  • Hampton Inn Pittsburgh-Airport.
    Team Members celebrated the week with fun events, including Wastebasket Basketball. During Marshmallow Mismatched Mania day, participants wore mismatched clothing as they tried to cross the room holding marshmallows through a straw.

Hilton Garden Inn

  • Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Midtown.
    They had a sparkle board, a pillow stuffing contest, and even an ice cream truck. They also named a Mr. Clean and a Mrs. Clean. Team Members left notes of thanks and appreciations for their Housekeeping teammates. The best part? The Housekeepers asked to keep the notes after the celebrations!

     

  • Hilton Garden Inn Guatemala City.
    This hotel decorated their Team Member areas with color and flair to show their appreciation for their Housekeeping Team. They pulled out all of the stops, including a spa day, a mummy wrapping competition and other games, plenty of food, and a piñata loaded with treats.

     

  • Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Cranberry.
    This property was serious about their Housekeeping competitions, including Mummy Wrapping, Cornhole Toss, Dizzy Baseball, Bowling, and Spray Bottle Sharp Shooting!

     

  • Hilton Garden Inn Times Square.
    They kicked off the week with breakfast and a SALT trivia contest. During the week, the Executive Committee created a “snack cart” and delivered treats to the team. Additional activities included a pizza party and chair massages.

Hilton Grand Vacations

  • Hilton Grand Vacations Club Las Palmeras.
    They celebrated their team with food, team aerobics, and fun competitions, like artistic towel folding. They also used the week to give back to the community, travelling to an orphanage and delivering donated food, bedding, and toys.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts

  • Hilton Bangalore Embassy GolfLinks.
    This property was ready to take their Housekeeping team up and away with decorations from the movie “Up.” Housekeepers were treated to special meals and sweets, enjoyed foot massages, and danced one night away at a party complete with a DJ. Throughout the week there were several competitions, including bed making, decorating trollies, and designing costumes. One day was devoted to Housekeeping “sports.” The week ended with certificates and special IHW 16 mugs for the team.

     

  • Hilton Chennai.
    They kicked off International Housekeeping Week by distributing personal invitations. They also raised a 2016 Housekeeping flag and planted trees. Team Members had wonderful snacks, meals, and gifts, and fun games which included break the balloon, fake money, and stacking apples. The team later enjoyed a movie at the hotel’s theater, complete with treats.

     

  • Hilton Dusseldorf.
    International Housekeeping Week was full of funny events, delicious food, and recognition of their Queens and Kings of Housekeeping. The highlight was a big colourful cake created by their pastry cook.

     

  • Hilton Gyeongju.
    Housekeeping Olympics at this hotel included Throw Three Towels into Linen Cart, Throw Slippers into Basket Using Feet Only, Throw Empty Water Bottle into Waste Can, and Throw a Grand Celebration for Your Housekeeping Team!

     

  • Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa.
    The Housekeeping team at this hotel had lunch with all Team Members from the hotel. They celebrated with popcorn and cupcakes from the general manager, creating towel art in the lobby, restaurant, and around the pool, and had a special environment day. They spent the last day taking a boat ride on the River Nile to one of the islands in Luxor, enjoying nature and an amazing dinner.

     

  • Hilton Reading.
    Housekeeping Olympics included shampoo bottle throwing, towel folding, and feather duster/toilet roll bowling. The team enjoyed special meals and treats all week long. The best day was Bring Your Own Food Day with food from the Team Members’ home countries. They had Welsh, Nepalese, Slovakian, and Romanian, to name a few!

     

  • Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa.
    This hotel had fun games for their Housekeepers, including musical chairs, towel art, and more. They enjoyed an evening on the beach with pizza, lunch at the main restaurant, thank you treats from various departments, and a wonderful cake. Housekeepers placed hand prints on a painted tree to commemorate the week.

     

  • Hilton Vienna Danube Waterfront.
    The Housekeeping Challenge at Hilton Vienna Danube Waterfront was to find the most Housekeeping Bucks that were hidden in dirty rooms! The team also enjoyed a team outing at the Prater which included a ride on the giant Vienna Ferris wheel, treats from the recognitiomobile, an ice cream break, and drawings for special prizes.

     

  • Hilton Villahermosa & Conference Center.
    This property held a circus theme, where Team Members dressed up as different circus characters. There was plenty of food and games during the week. They even held a teambuilding event. Everyone sat around a round table in chairs with legs on the side. Then they laid back on the legs of their teammates, making a wheel. Chairs were pulled away until the Team Members were supporting themselves. It was a great display of trust and teamwork.

     

  • Hilton Warsaw Hotel and Convention Centre.
    The Housekeeping team prepared for their special week by making a wonderful banner, on a sheet, of course! The team had a competition for the most fun costume and a treasure hunt, and they enjoyed many delicious treats.

     

  • Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa.
    Housekeepers at this hotel were in a competition with seven hotels: relay courses, arts and crafts, and tug of war. They won third place! The next day, they took a trip up Whistler Blackcomb mountain and posed in front of the 2010 Olympic Rings to celebrate their achievements.

     

  • Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
    During International Housekeeping Week, their team extended the light and warmth of Hospitality to an Orphanage in Suleja, Niger state, donating bedding, toys, and food. The hotel also hosted fun activities for their Housekeepers, including aerobics and towel and bed decorating.

Home2 Suites by Hilton

  • Home2 Suites by Hilton Queretaro.
    This property had multiple reasons to celebrate: Mexican Independence Day fell during International Housekeeping Week. All departments came together for food, fun, and prizes, and lots of recognition for the Housekeepers. Each day included a new activity, from a game of bingo to a day of pampering the team.

Homewood Suites by Hilton

  • Homewood Suites by Hilton Denton.
    Housekeepers enjoyed a special lunch. After lunch they were presented with individually framed certificates, duffel bags, and pens. The team also enjoyed showering their executive and inspector with water balloons on a hot Texas Day! And they showed they can dress up anyone with toilet paper!

     

  • Homewood Suites by Hilton Lawton.
    They celebrated the week with food, selfies, hula-hoops, and a cart-decorating contest. The team also participated in a scavenger hunt and were treated to pedicures. Each Team Member received a personalized T-shirts that said “HOUSEKEEPING IT REAL CLEAN!”

     

  • Homewood Suites by Hilton Waterloo/St. Jacobs.
    This location had an amazing International Housekeeping Week. From games, to meals, to fun huddle activities, to sweet treats, they always found ways to surprise their team and make them feel special!

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts

  • La Quinta Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort.
    Team Members wrote thank you cards which were then displayed in their Housekeeping Hallway. Over 200 cards were captured during the celebratory week. The Housekeeping Department played The Price is Right, estimating the cost the hotel pays for each guest room item. The Team Member closest to the grand annual total won!

     

  • Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts.
    This property brought in the big guns, welcoming Jean Faivre, VP Ops West & South Europe, and Fausto Ciarcia, Cluster HR Director, both of whom joined in on the celebrations. Other departments pitched in as well; the Pastry team provided delicious desserts, and the Engineering team did laundry while the Housekeepers relaxed.
