International Women’s Day Celebrations – Visit to Arushi – Children Home for Girls

At Hilton Worldwide one of our Key Strategic Priority is to “Align our culture and organization” by acting as responsible members of our communities. This would enable us to embrace corporate social responsibility. With this thought in mind, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Hilton Garden Inn Gurgaon Baani Square organized a visit to Arushi – Children Home for Girls, a full care shelter home run by Salaam Baalak Trust.

The shelter provides the children security, a sense of home, and an opportunity to receive all the critical inputs of childhood They aim at restoring the childhood in children besides instilling in them the values of independence and decision-making, education and social values and financial self-dependence to become mature and responsible citizen of the country and caring and responsive members of the society. The children home houses girls aged between 6 and 18.

The HR Team along with a few Team Members from other departments visited the trust and spent the most invaluable time with the girls at the trust. The hotel’s team gifted girls with stationary items (Chart papers, drawing sheets, scales, sparkle pens, sketch pens, etc.) and bringing that priceless smile on their faces had been the prime objective. Even team members were spotted flexing their muscles along with the kids during the yoga session held at the trust. The experience of giving and sharing to the community is priceless and motivated with this initiative, the HR team at Hilton Garden Inn Gurgaon Baani Square is quite bullish to spearhead many such CSR oriented campaigns in times to come.
