Our hotel is always looking for ways to improve our “SALT” scores. As the #2 rated hotel in our city of 87 hotels, we feel compelled to always strive for that “ultimate service” in every category. One category that was always low – was the Pantry score. It always scored low for “lack of variety”. Well, our front desk team members knew this was not the case. We had tons of variety, but maybe it was not presented properly to our guests? So Angela Caldwell and Joelle El-Anti took it upon themselves to re-arrange the whole pantry – making it more visually appealing – therefore “looking” more full, which also meant to look like there was more of a variety. They took pictures and made them available for all front desk to maintain the look. It has only been a short time, but our SALT scores have already gone up by 10% in this category (Variety of Items in Pavilion Pantry). They were creative and thought outside the box. This type of initiative will only benefit the whole hotel.
