I went to the store and purchased a transparent shoe holder that hangs from the door and placed a hand-made name tag on each holder with each Team Member’s name on it. With this, not only does management have the opportunity to recognize a Team Member who goes above and beyond, but other Team Members can give recognition, too. Everything from a simple handmade thank you note, to a soda can, to a candy bar has been placed in people’s slots as a way to say thank you for all they do. Knowing that fellow teammates see the efforts and compassion shown to guests, teammates, and the hotel, has boosted team morale. It’s not expensive. Sometimes a simple thank you note goes a long way.
