Meet Our 2012 CEO Light & Warmth Award Winners: Pete Rudewicz!

Pete’s dedication shines every day, and it shows in his consistently outstanding results. It’s not just Pete’s great work, but his level of intense dedication and positivity.

When Pete was asked to create a more efficient build design for the Homewood Suites prototype, he far surpassed the expected “nip and tuck.” Pete seized the opportunity to make the space feel more residential, maximizing common space, smoothing flow, taking advantage of outdoor space, and re-engineering the back of the house for Team Members.

To achieve the innovative design, Pete bought a design program for his home and worked on the prototype during his spare time. The results were incredible and completely changed Homewood Suites.

After seeing the new design, an influential developer noted that the new prototype’s use of space was more efficient than any competitor’s. Pete managed to reduce square footage by 12 percent, which sliced construction costs by 10-15 percent and sped up construction. New “green” features make the buildings even more sustainable, saving almost six percent in overall savings. All of this added up to a record year for Homewood Suites development sales, including more than 35 deals for this prototype—which translates into $80 million in future royalty earnings!

Thanks to Pete’s hard work, time, and dedication, Homewood Suites is always evolving to be the best they can be.

Congratulations to our CEO Light & Warmth Award winner!
