More Awesome August Catches!

On August 31, we say goodbye to our seasonal recognition program, Catch Me at My Best. We had a blast recognizing more than 600,000 great acts of hospitality from hotels around the globe. Stay tuned for our grand prizewinners, and check out some of our favorite catches from this week.

Lillian Harris, Conrad Chicago, IL

“Lillian took lost and found under her wing this year and it has been thriving successfully every since. Recently, a guest lost her necklace and insisted that she left it at the hotel. Although the necklace wasn’t turned into us or logged, Lillian took much of the day to look all over for it, investigated, and questioned the appropriate team members that may have had contact with it. Later in the day, the guest called to say she found it and was so sorry for insisting that she left it. She went further to say, no matter how stern she was on the phone, Lillian was consistently nice and pleasant with her and assured her that she was going to do all she can to find her necklace. The guest was so appreciative of how Lillian handled the situation she mailed her a beautiful gift and card. This is just an example of how she connects with our guest on a daily basis.”

Ashley Meserve, Homewood Suites by Hilton @ The Waterfront, KS

“I am recovering from a break-up. I shared this with Ashley while I was in the Suite Shop. Later that night she delivered a candy bar with a nice card to my door. She knows how chocolate solves all my problems! Thanks, Ashley!!”

Nielsurys Flores, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton hotel Naples, FL

“One night during my stay with my Dad, I did not wash my face or remove my make-up before going to sleep. The next morning, I noticed mascara on my pillowcase, as did Sury. She thoughtfully provided me with a package of make-up removal wipes and a clean washcloth on my nightstand. I found this very kind and it added an “at home” feel. Thank you, Sury!”

Kenji Ackert, Kings Land by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, HI

“We had a Matsuri Festival (Japanese cultural event) at our property. Kenji helped host the event as he is very involved in the culture. He met a young guest who told him how interested he was in the Japanese culture and mainly Samurai warriors. Kenji proceeded to show the guest his own Samurai sword and how ancient warriors utilized the swords. Then carefully let him hold the sword (while keeping his safety in mind the entire time!) He truly made a memory for this young boy!”
