Motivation of Team Members Lead to More Upselling!

To motivate Team Members to sell a wide range of products, we started to recognize Team Members who are contributing and generating revenue with an incentive program where Team Members maximize revenue while increasing their satisfaction and loyalty. The program has a specific target and if it is achieved, Team Members are rewarded with a monetary prize and a certificate of recognition. It also puts into action what they’ve learned from past training regarding revenue maximizing or REVMAX. Since starting this program, the results have been very productive, and we’ve achieved most of our budget, specially for July 2010, where our Team Members got almost KD 27 each.

From the time we started the incentives program, all Team Members have shown an interest and willingness to up–sell. Most of the targets set are nearly achieved, and as a result, we have seen a big difference in our revenue. Of those Team Members, there is one person who really strives for success. Khin Su Hlaing, who has been with us for a couple of years, proves that the skill and talent she learned from the previous training is very effective and greatly helps self-improvement and development, especially with building rapport with guests. She has received a lot of recognition and has been consistently awarded “Best Seller of the Month” since the start of the program.
