Blue Energy Committee at Hilton New Delhi/ Janakpuri took the initiative to celebrate the festival with homeless and less fortunate mothers and children in the community:
- The Committee Members visited an old age home called Arya Mahila Ashram. These homes have lonely elderly women living with them, who are neglected by their families. Ladies tied Rakhi’s to our Male Team members. The elderly women were touched by the gesture. Our team also took a cake as a token of love and respect for the occasion
- Slum Children Educational & Development trust, an NGO serving kids below the poverty line set up a two days Rakhi stall, within the hotel premises. The colourful Rakhis displayed for selling were made by the Kids of this NGO. Our Team Members bought Rakhis from these stalls and supported these underprivileged kids monetarily. We also invited them to dine in one of our speciality restaurants and helped them experience this leisure.
