Purple Day is something that was started by a little 7 year old girl, Cassidy Megan, just 5 years ago. She started Purple Day because she wanted everyone with epilepsy to know that they weren’t alone and for everyone to learn about epilepsy. Purple Day, March 26th, will forever be known as Global Epilepsy Awareness Day. Please get as many friends and family as you know to wear purple on March 26th and spread the word about educating the public on epilepsy. Whether it be for someone you know personally or for all the little children like Rayleigh, please show your support by wearing purple.
Our hotel, The Skirvin Hilton Hotel, is showing our support and everyone here will be wearing purple. We will also be handing out bookmarks at the front desk that have the simple steps on what to do if you are faced with someone having a seizure. It is all about education and learning how to help someone safely get through a seizure.
