Ride on! Hilton Blackpool Hotel Wins Bikes for Sustainability Achievement.

Permanent Team Members at Hilton Blackpool hotel, U.K. are the proud owners of new mountain bikes. The Team received bikes as a reward for their contribution toward environmental sustainability in the European region.

Hilton Blackpool used LightStay to audit operational efficiency and identify areas that need improvement. They found ways to reduce energy use and slice 4,000 cubic meters from their water consumption.

Lightstay measures indicators across 200 operational practices, including housekeeping, paper product use, food waste, air quality and transportation.

General Manager Howard Lewis was delighted to be named a winner.

“The mountain bikes are a great reward for the hotel’s Team Members who proved themselves passionate about making a difference to the environment. It’s fantastic to be recognized.”
