In order to place greater attention and emphasis on SALT scores, we engage in a little friendly competition between departments. Using a “SALT Score goal” set by the GM, the Department which exceeds its monthly goal by the greatest amount, recieves Scratch-Off Lottery tickets for each Team Member of that Department. We regularly discuss our standings, as well as, areas and ideas for improvement at departmental and morning meetings. We have found this to be an engaging, fun, and low-cost way to increase involvement among all Team Members and recognize that each person can affect our hotels’ SALT Scores, thereby maintaining an exceptional level of Customer Satisfaction.
