Spirit Winner Yoana Torres Shows Integrity by Connecting with Children With Leukemia.

Recognizing Yoana Torres, Spirit Winner September 2010

Yoana is always smiling at the front desk to all our guests, and all of our guests are always looking forward to checking in while she is on duty. She also has shown above and beyond integrity by reaching out to the community.

A few weeks ago, Yoana started a project related to the Hampton initiative of a social responsibility landing page. She named this project “DIBUJANDO UNA SONRISA HAMPTON,” which means “DRAWING A HAMPTON SMILE.” Yoana contacted the Saltillo’s Association of Children with Leukemia. She gathered a lot of people to donate blood. Our housekeeping team and our front desk team sold hand-made tamales, and they also sold a lot of chocolates with a special envelope that they designed. Guess what?, Yoana and our team collected ten thousand pesos for the Association. This money will be used for medications and more things that they need. These little kids now know that our Hotel is full of employees that love them and that always think about them.

Lucero, a very special little girl wanted to have a special birthday party before receiving her chemotherapy, wanted a party with the Disney Princesses. Yoana and our Front Desk girls made that dream reality! They went to the Hospital to see her, and they went dressed like Disney Princesses. They gave her a lot of little plastic Princesses candy bags and a Princesses” piñata. Lucero was very happy with this beautiful.

Yoana is now frequently connecting with this Association, she is always trying to help them and our team is always supporting Yoana. We really want you to know that she has done a beautiful job.
