Struggling With Spirit Nominations? Try a Designated Writer!

Maybe English is your second language. Or you don’t feel comfortable with your writing skills. Even if writing isn’t your “thing,” you can still write an powerful Spirit Award nomination. Next time you nominate a Team Member, consider recruiting a Team Member to be your designated writer.

Pick a Team Member who enjoys writing or has experience scripting memos and letters. Put your heads together to brainstorm all the reasons why your nominee deserves the Spirit Award. Make sure to include specific examples about how he or she had a positive impact on teammates, the hotel, and the community.

Then, leave your designated writer to do what they do best! Have them type up the nomination and give it to you for proofing. When you’re sure it’s good to go, submit your nomination online. Now, that’s teamwork!
