My idea is to give out our survey cards at check-in to arriving guests! Our hotel is only a couple months old and I found our survey cards are not being filled out. I started giving these cards out at check-in with the guests keys to make sure that they are aware that we even have them. I found at least 40% don’t even know these cards are in the rooms. I found that if the surveys are given out at check-in that the guest has at least been given the knowledge that their comments matter! I feel this idea will improve our SALT scores, and improve our standards as a Hilton property. Our guests are our top priority and feel that telling the guest about the card at check in that these cards will be put into use and will be more beneficial to our hotel “make our guests comments matter”.
