Got any change?
General manager Michael Fatta and the team at Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at SeaWorld, FL, have change to spare. A March meeting inspired the new recognition and reward program, Fattabucks. Fattabucks is a pseudo-currency given to Team Members who display excellent hospitality and teamwork.
Fattabucks — designed like a US dollar bill with a beaming picture of Fatta – come in $1 and $5 increments. They can be traded for pantry items (excluding alcoholic beverages), weekly bus passes, gift cards, 50 percent off restaurant menu items and the ultimate prize – a day off with pay.
Take a look at Fattabucks redemption values:
– Pantry Items: 2.5(Retail cost). So if a soda retails for $2.50, it costs five Fattabucks.
– Weekly bus pass: 30 Fattabucks.
– Gift cards: 20 Fattabucks gets you a $10 gift card at Wal-Mart, Publix, 7-11 Gas Cards, Darden restaurants or Target.
What a great idea to promote ownership and teamwork. Save up, team!
