During Housekeeping Week, we enjoyed it and we also shared something with the community. We donated books to the RAK Animal Welfare Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre (RAK AWC). It is a nonprofit animal welfare organisation that rehomes socialised, trained, and healthy cats and dogs. They find suitable homes for as many abandoned or tame dogs and cats as possible. They also humanely trap, sterilize, and release feral cats and village dogs to reduce the population living on the streets. This group also proves Ras al Khaimah with Boarding Services, a Veterinary Clinic, and a Pet Retail Store that all serve as revenue-generating components for our needs. The Welfare Centre also provides medical treatment for injured animals, to both strays and pets, and increase public awareness of animal issues through school and community events. This year was not all about us, but also a way for the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa Housekeeping team to give back to the community.
