“We Care.”

Our hotel “CARES”, about each other, about our guests, and about our community, and it shows. Each month we set aside one day for everyone to bring in and share their favorite dish with each other. This gives us time to socialize, present ideas for improving our hotel, or just to exchange recipes. If anyone is having a birthday that month we have a cake and celebrate that also. There is no better way to bring our hotel family closer than to sit down and share a meal with each other from time to time. While this in itself seems like a great way to boost morale, we decided to turn it into something that our community could benefit from also. Everyone that comes to the dinner donates whatever amount they can afford to pay for their lunch. At the end of November, we take whatever we collected for our,”We Care Fund”, and pick out toys, clothes, or whatever is needed and donate it to a needy family. For example, last year we were able to help a family buy clothes, shoes, and toys when they lost everything they had in a fire right before Christmas. This year we selected six names from the Angeltree which had needy children on it. But the main thing our lunches do is give us the chance to count our blessings. I guess you could say it’s where the the Spirit of Hampton blends with the Spirit of Christmas in our little southern town!
