Words of Inspiration From a Spirit Award Winner!

Spirit of the Garden Winner,

I work evenings at the Front Desk and often see co-workers as they leave. I always say their names and THANK them when they leave. I believe if someone receives a sincere, genuine “thank you” as they leave their shift, he or she will want to return and may even be inspired to smile a bit more and work even harder. Everyone regardless of their position or department likes to know he or she is appreciated! It’s an easy thing for me to do and it may make a difference and brighten another’s day.

I have to say “You’re absolutely right”! I work in laundry @ the Homewood Suites in Victor, NY. I always like to say please and thank you when I’m interacting with my coworkers. Our office manager, Angela and General Manager, Corey Dooley, are ‘great’ for continually saying “Thank you”. Not that they need to say it every day, but knowing that you’re appreciated means a great deal. Today, I went into work and there was a bookmark from the Spirit Award group. I can’t get over how kind this company is to their workers. My name was even printed out on a post card! It said to go to a web sight to read my story, but I’m not sure where to look. Any ideas? Thanks so much for making note of those ‘thank yous. They ‘do’ matter!
